The Fort Wayne "Landing" has a rich history.
It received its name from the days of the
Wabash-Erie Canal in the late 19th century. The "Landing" was
the place in Fort Wayne where boats could load, unload and turn around
if necessary.
The Wabash-Erie Canal is now gone.
It has been replaced with a railroad, but the historical buildings now
house a vibrant night life and the Fort Wayne bar scene.
One of our favorite warm weather venues
is "The Landing" on Friday and Saturday nights. We love to serve
hot dogs, brats, nachos and other items to the Fort Wayne party crowd.
We always meet a lot of great people,
hear a lot of great stories, and see some amazing things.
Since our stories have so much traction
with our friends and neighbors, we are going to share photos and
videos here starting with the 2009 season.
We hope to have live streaming video of
our cart in action at 'The Landing' before the summer of 2009.
This will be a fun page when it is
complete!
